In my fruitful years of experience, I can really say that being a nurse is not just a mere profession that requires skills and proper training, but a vocation that needs care and compassion.

There is this saying, “It never gets easier, you just get stronger”. Dealing with a patient and what he/she is going through is hard, but nurses must be tough. The attitude of a nurse is as important as the knowledge he/she possesses.

A patient needs an empathetic nurse to provide quality care, and that is how we, nurses, are mold in our long years of practice, getting into patient’s shoe to perceive what we can give. And, being part of their healing and knowing they are satisfied is our fulfillment.
